About the Firm

I established Ardmore & Kane Solicitors in 2009 because I believed people in Wexford deserved a solicitor who speaks plainly, charges fairly, and treats every client's matter as if it were their own. I am a qualified solicitor and member of the Law Society of Ireland (Solicitor Registration No. 000000), holding a BCL degree with advanced training in mediation and collaborative law.

Over 17+ years in practice, I have helped more than 1,400 clients across Wexford and beyond. One milestone I am particularly proud of: in 2019, I guided 1,000 first-time buyers through their purchases in a single year — every one completed on schedule, on budget, and with fixed fees agreed upfront. That experience captures how I want every client to feel: informed, supported, and never surprised by a bill.

Growing up in Wexford, I understand the community I serve. You can always pick up the phone and speak directly to me — that accessibility is a promise, not a slogan. I complete a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) every year, as required by the Law Society, and regularly attend specialist seminars in conveyancing, family law, and data-protection compliance to ensure my advice reflects the latest legislation and case law.

Whether you are buying your first home, planning your estate, navigating a family matter, or resolving a business dispute, I provide clear, practical legal advice you can trust. I handle conveyancing, wills and probate, family law, personal injury, commercial law, and dispute resolution — always with fixed fees where possible and a free initial consultation so you know exactly where you stand before committing. I also welcome referrals from existing clients and professional contacts — if someone you know needs legal help, I will look after them the same way I looked after you. We serve clients across Wexford, Wexford, and surrounding areas.

How We Have Helped

Real outcomes for real clients (details anonymised for confidentiality)

Conveyancing

First-Time Buyer — Closing in 10 Weeks

Situation: A young couple purchasing their first home were anxious about the legal process and worried about hidden costs. They needed mortgage drawdown coordinated with a tight closing date set by the vendor.

Outcome: Sale closed on schedule within 10 weeks. Fixed fee agreed upfront with no additional charges. The couple moved in on the date planned and have since referred two friends to the firm.

Personal Injury

Workplace Injury — Fair Settlement Secured

Situation: A client suffered a back injury at work due to inadequate safety equipment. Their employer's insurer initially denied liability. The client was unable to work for several months and was concerned about medical costs and lost income.

Outcome: After gathering independent medical evidence and expert reports, we submitted a claim to the Injuries Resolution Board. A fair five-figure settlement was secured without the need for court proceedings, covering medical expenses, lost earnings, and general damages.

Family Law

Separation — Protecting Children's Interests

Situation: A parent of two needed to formalise a separation agreement including custody, maintenance, and the division of the family home. Both parties wanted to avoid contested court proceedings for the sake of the children.

Outcome: Through collaborative negotiation, we helped both parties reach a comprehensive separation agreement in 8 weeks. Custody, access, maintenance, and property were all resolved without a contested hearing, and both parties described the process as far less stressful than expected.

Common Questions

How much does a solicitor cost in Wexford?
We offer fixed fees for conveyancing and wills. For other matters, we provide a clear fee estimate after your free initial consultation. No hidden charges.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. Your first consultation is free and without obligation. We'll listen to your situation and explain your options clearly.
Are you regulated by the Law Society?
Yes. Ardmore & Kane Solicitors is regulated by the Law Society of Ireland and listed with the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA). We carry full professional indemnity insurance.
How long does conveyancing take in Ireland?
A typical residential conveyancing transaction takes 8 to 12 weeks from sale agreed to completion. Timelines can vary depending on the chain, mortgage approval, and local authority searches. We keep you updated at every stage.
What documents do I need for a will?
You'll need photo ID, a list of your assets (property, savings, investments), details of your beneficiaries, and the name of your preferred executor. We'll guide you through everything during your consultation.
What is the process for a personal injury claim?
First, we assess your case in a free consultation. If you have a valid claim, we gather evidence, obtain medical reports, and submit your claim to the Injuries Resolution Board (or proceed to court if necessary). Depending on the circumstances of your case, we may be able to assist on a no win, no fee basis. Each case is assessed individually and we will explain all fee arrangements clearly at the outset.
Do you offer evening or Saturday consultations?
We understand that weekday hours don't suit everyone. We can arrange evening and Saturday consultations by appointment. Contact us to arrange a time that works for you.
What is a Section 68 letter?
A Section 68 letter is a document your solicitor is required to provide under Section 68 of the Solicitors (Amendment) Act 1994. It sets out the legal costs you can expect to pay, including professional fees, outlays, and VAT. We provide this letter at the outset so you have full transparency on costs before we begin any work.
Do you offer legal aid or assistance with costs?
We offer a free initial consultation for all new clients to assess your situation and advise on your options. For personal injury claims, we may be able to assist on a no win, no fee basis depending on the circumstances. We can also advise on eligibility for civil legal aid through the Legal Aid Board. We believe cost should not be a barrier to accessing legal advice.
How do you protect my personal data?
As a solicitor practice, we are a data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All client information is stored securely, accessed only by authorised personnel, and never shared with third parties without your explicit consent. We have a comprehensive data protection policy and your information is treated with the same confidentiality as all legal matters. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
