What AI search optimisation in Wexford means
I'm Fionn Murphy. FMOps is one person, based in Waterford — between thirty and sixty minutes from most of County Wexford depending on whether you are in New Ross or up in Gorey. I work remotely across Ireland, and I can call out for the first meeting.
AI search optimisation in Wexford is the work of getting ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to identify your business correctly and name it when someone asks for the best in your trade locally. Someone asks "best physio in Wexford" or "where to stay near Rosslare with a dog" and the assistant answers with two or three names. You are in it or you are not.
Who this fits in Wexford
Wexford is a tourism county with a working economy underneath it, and both halves have something to gain here.
On the coast, holiday lets, guesthouses, restaurants and activity businesses from Rosslare up through Curracloe to Gorey live or die on being found by people who are not from here. Those visitors now plan trips by asking an assistant, and the assistant answers with names. The same is true around the opera festival, when hospitality in Wexford town takes bookings from people who have never been before and simply ask where to eat before a performance.
Rosslare Europort pulls in a second kind of business: freight, customs and logistics services, plus anything that serves people passing through on a schedule. Those are searched under pressure and answered by whichever business the assistant can describe confidently.
Then the everyday county: food producers and growers around the strawberry-growing belt, GPs and private clinics, solicitors and accountants in Wexford town and Enniscorthy, and the trades working out of New Ross and Gorey. Same problem, same fix.
One precondition, plainly: a verified Google Business Profile and honest local reviews come first. They are the largest single input to what an assistant recommends. If you do not have them, that is the first month's work, and I will say so on the call rather than sell you a retainer you are not ready for. Not sure where to start? See set up your Google Business Profile.
Illustrative example: a Rosslare holiday let
This is an illustrative example, not a client. A self-catering holiday let near Rosslare wants more direct bookings and fewer platform fees.
The questions guests ask are practical: "dog friendly self catering near Rosslare", "places to stay near Rosslare ferry port for an early sailing", "family holiday home near Curracloe beach". When an assistant answers, it is reading the Google Business Profile, review text, the property's own site if it has one, and booking-platform and directory listings that mention it.
The common failure is that the property only exists on a booking platform. There is no profile, no site, no independent page an assistant can quote. The assistant then names the properties it can describe, which are the ones with their own pages saying the plain facts: distance to the port in minutes, whether dogs are allowed, how many it sleeps, parking, check-in time for a 07:00 sailing.
What changes: a Google Business Profile is set up and verified, honest reviews are collected from past guests, and a small set of pages is written that answers each real question in words — the ferry question, the dog question, the beach question. Then those questions are re-run every month and the answers logged with screenshots. I do not predict the result; I report it.
The AI visibility audit for Wexford: what I check
The free check is run by hand. You get the screenshots and the counts, whether or not you go any further.
What ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI actually say
A fixed set of buying-intent questions for your trade and town, run repeatedly, with screenshots and dates.
Who they name instead
The competitors that come up, and the sources the assistants cite for them.
Your Google Business Profile
Verification, category, name, address, phone, hours, services and photos — the single biggest input to a local recommendation.
Your reviews
How many, how recent, and whether the text mentions what you actually do and where.
Your website
Whether there is a readable page for each real reason someone contacts you, and whether the facts are in text rather than in images or PDFs.
Your entity data
Whether the same business name, address and phone number appear consistently everywhere, and whether the site carries correct structured data.
Third-party mentions
Directories, local press, suppliers and associations — the pages assistants already trust.

Your AI consultant in Wexford, not an agency
I'm Fionn Murphy. FMOps is me. I run the check, I do the groundwork, I write the pages and I record the monthly video. You talk to the person doing the work.
I take one business per trade per town, so I am not optimising two competitors against each other. If it is not a fit, I will tell you on the call.

Questions
Do you visit businesses in Wexford?
Yes. I'm based in Waterford, which is thirty to sixty minutes from most of the county — nearer New Ross, further to Gorey. The first meeting can be in person, and the monthly work is remote.
How much does AI search optimisation cost in Wexford?
The first check is free. Retainers run from €750 a month to €2,000 a month, capped scope, agreed in writing before we start. Same price as anywhere else in Ireland.
I only take bookings through a platform. Does this still work?
It works better once you have something of your own. Assistants quote sources they can read and describe. A verified Google Business Profile and a handful of plain pages give them something to name. I will say on the call if you are not ready yet.
Is this the same as SEO?
It overlaps. Traditional SEO targets Google's blue links. This targets the answer an assistant gives when asked for a recommendation. The groundwork is related; the measurement is different.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business?
No. Model answers move, and a guarantee would be a guess. What I guarantee is a fixed set of questions re-run monthly, screenshots of the answers, and an honest explanation of any change.
Find out what it says about you.
The check is free and takes me about an hour by hand. You get the screenshots either way.
