AI for business, done properly, is not a licence. Anthropic now ships Claude for Small Business as a one-click install. Signing up is the easy part. I am the Claude consultant Irish SMEs ring for the rest: designing the workflows, connecting your accounts safely, getting the GDPR and data processing agreement right, and training your team to use it. Setup from €1,750, then from €600 a month. Claude licences are paid to Anthropic directly.
Anyone can sign up for an AI tool and never use it. The value is in connecting it to your real email, files and accounts, pointing it at the jobs that waste your week, and showing your staff how to run it.
Claude, GDPR and your data in Ireland
Get this settled before anyone connects a company account. On a personal Claude Pro plan, Anthropic does not offer a data processing agreement, so it is the wrong plan for staff handling client or patient data. On Claude Team and Enterprise you can put a data processing agreement in place, which is what a GDPR controller needs from a processor. If your data must stay in the EU, Claude models can be run through Amazon Bedrock in the Ireland, Frankfurt or Paris regions, so processing stays inside the EU. Part of the €1,750 setup is choosing the right plan, signing the DPA, and writing down what data goes near Claude and what never does. Claude installs itself now. Why hire me?
Fair question, and I will answer it straight. Anthropic ships Claude for Small Business as a self-serve product with one-click connectors for QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. You do not need me to click those buttons, and I will not pretend otherwise. I am not reselling the software. What I sell is everything that happens either side of the install:
- Workflow design. Which jobs in your week are worth handing over, in what order, and what "good" looks like when Claude does them. This is the part that decides whether the licences get used in month three.
- Safe account connection. One-click connectors hand an AI tool access to your live invoices, contracts and inbox. I scope permissions to the minimum, keep the finance and client-data connectors behind approval, and document who can reach what.
- GDPR and DPA setup. The right plan, the signed agreement, the retention settings, and a written policy your staff can follow.
- AI training for your team. Staff use it or they do not. Training on your own live work is what moves that number.
- Support afterwards. Connectors change, staff leave, work changes. The €600 a month keeps the setup current.

Your Claude licences are paid to Anthropic directly and are not included. Cancel the monthly with 30 days notice; what is already built keeps running.
FMOps is one person, not an agency. You deal with the practitioner who does the work, not an account manager.

ChatGPT consultant or Claude consultant?
Most people who ring me have not decided yet, and that is fine. I set up either. The fee is the same €1,750 setup and €600 a month, because the work is the same work: the workflows, the connections, the data agreement and the training.
My default is Claude, for three practical reasons. Anthropic does not train its models on your business inputs and outputs by default on the commercial plans. Claude Team and Enterprise carry a data processing agreement you can sign. And if EU data residency is a hard requirement, Claude models can be run through Amazon Bedrock in Ireland, Frankfurt or Paris. Those three points matter to accountants, solicitors and clinics more than any benchmark does.
ChatGPT Team and Enterprise are good products and also offer a DPA. If your team already lives in ChatGPT, or a supplier requires it, I will advise on it and set it up rather than talk you out of a tool that is working. Training is included in the €1,750 setup. It is not an extra line on the quote. The session runs on install day, with your own live work on screen, not slides and not a generic prompt list.

The €600 a month continues the implementation: one new or improved workflow each month, plus support. That is how an AI rollout in a small business actually sticks, one workflow at a time, rather than a launch day and a quiet licence bill. Training runs on-site anywhere in the South East, including Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford, Carlow and Tipperary, and remotely everywhere else in Ireland.

Yes, if you want it used rather than just installed. The one-click install is genuinely easy and I will not charge you to click it. What takes the time is deciding which jobs to hand over, connecting your finance and client data safely, signing the right data processing agreement, and training staff so the licences are still in use in month three. If you only want the software switched on, do it yourself and keep the fee.

It depends on your plan. Claude Pro is a personal plan with no data processing agreement, so it is the wrong choice for staff handling client data. Claude Team and Enterprise offer a data processing agreement, which is what you need as a controller. If your data must stay in the EU, Claude models can run through Amazon Bedrock in the Ireland, Frankfurt or Paris regions. Choosing the plan and signing the agreement is part of the setup.

Yes. I set up ChatGPT Team or Enterprise for the same €1,750 setup and €600 a month, because the work is the same. My default recommendation is Claude for data handling, the Team and Enterprise data processing agreement, and EU residency options, but I will advise on either and set up whichever suits your team.

It may. The Grow Digital Voucher from your Local Enterprise Office is worth up to €5,000 at 50% co-funding and can cover eligible digital and AI projects. Eligibility, the approved supplier rules and the final decision rest with your Local Enterprise Office, so check with them before you plan around it. I can supply a written scope and quote for your application.
